SDSU became the first university in the world featured in Google’s Street View interface.
You can read about it in the San Diego Union-Tribune, SDSU NewsCenter and the many other publications that reported about the project when it launched last week.

San Diego State University's Hepner Hall is seen in a screen grab from Google Earth's Street View of the university. The program provides a look around the campus.
The Google Street View of SDSU has a variety of potential benefits:
- Prospective students and their families can use it to get familiar with the look of the campus before they visit.
- Special events planners can use it to direct guests where they want them to go.
- Alumni can navigate their old stomping grounds and parents can see where their kids hang out.
- Plus much, much more.
The benefits of the tool will expand as buildings and walkways get labeled and tours get created.
