Takin’ it to the Street (View)

SDSU became the first university in the world featured in Google’s Street View interface.

You can read about it in the San Diego Union-Tribune, SDSU NewsCenter and the many other publications that reported about the project when it launched last week.

The Google Street View of SDSU has a variety of potential benefits:

• Prospective students and their families can use it to get familiar with the look of the campus before they visit.
• Special events planners can use it to direct guests where they want them to go.
• Alumni can navigate their old stomping grounds and parents can see where their kids hang out.
• Plus much, much more.

The benefits of the tool will expand as buildings and walkways get labeled and tours get created.
